Real Life, Not Just Photoshoots: Why High-Quality Prints are a Parent’s Best Friend
Share
Fed up of babies & children's clothing being beige and showing every stain or mark? As a parent of two I understand the frustration, so I curated a selection of designs that would offer the 'camouflage' effect. Our designs include hand drawn elements that your little ones will love but also help to disguise stains until wash day. Whether it is a food stain or a grass stain, with little ones these can't be avoided.
Looking for clothes for outdoor play? All our clothing has been designed for adventures. From having a comfortable fit to durable seams and fabric. We intentionally do not offer styles that are restrictive or limit movement. After all babies and toddlers learn through exploring and play so their clothing should encourage this. The added bonus to our handmade babies clothes is that all styles are cut for cloth, this means there is plenty of room to accommodate a reusable nappy without compromising fit.
With these features our clothes are made to be part of everyday moments, not just for best. Our clothing is made for the highest quality ethically sourced organic cotton, not thin mass produced fabric. Only sewn using professional overlocker and coverstitch machines, providing an extra durable finish.
But how can I prove that our clothing has been handmade to last? Our closed loop preloved and buy back scheme. Designing clothes to last more that one child, to be outgrown not out worn. Once your little ones outgrow their BCR clothing, you can send them back and I will buy them back to list in our preloved section.
You don't need clothes for nursery, messy play or outdoor adventures. Our clothing is handmade to the highest quality to ensure it can withstand all the mess childhood throws at it.
Frequently Asked Questions
How to remove stains from children's clothing?
Stains happen, as children explore and play. But stains shouldn't be a worry, my top tips from removing stains are:
- Cold water rinse, hot water will set stains, but rinsing under the cold tap will help prevent the stains sticking.
- Sunlight is your friend, even in colder weather. The sun is a natural stain remover, once the clothing is washed place in direct sunlight (in winter a window sill works great!). This will naturally 'bleach' the stain out.
How to maintain handmade clothing?
Handmade clothing is a higher quality fabric, but like all clothing there are ways to ensure it stays in the best condition. The best wait to look after handmade clothing is:
- wash inside out to prevent bobbling on the fabric as it rubs against other items in the wash especially denim, towels or zips that are more abrasive.
- avoid tumble drying and air dry where possible. Tumble drying can damage the fibres in the fabric.
- avoid harsh stain removers and bleach as this can damage the printed designs.
