All about our One Metre Challenges

Our handmade Metre Challenges reduce fabric waste, reflecting our eco-friendly focus. Unfortunately nothing is completely zero waste, however our challenges are very low waste (just the thread ends on the scrubbie). We also create scrappy wipes from any excess that is too small to be clothing or an accessory (e.g scrunchie). These vary in size, but help to use up the smaller fabric offcuts. This means we can utilise the fabric more effectively and create more clothing items.

About our One Metre Challenge

Our challenges are not only minimal wastage, all fabric we use is organic, this means non of our fabric is pretreated with chemicals, ensuring it’s perfectly gentle for your little one’s delicate skin. Our printed fabric is knitted and printed in the UK using eco friendly inks and zero water wastage. In keeping to our eco friendly morals, ensuring to try our best to help our planet and protect your little ones futures.

Keeping them Bespoke

Our challenges are unique to each customer, the handmade items will be custom made with your preferences. This means we can create the perfect capsule wardrobe just for your little ones. After you purchase your metre challenge you will be contacted to discuss co-ord fabric colours, and item preferences. Item preferences include items you’d like to have or you’d like to avoid. For example if you don’t like a specific style we can guarantee you will not receive it. We can’t guarantee you’ll receive specific styles, however we will try our best to cater to them whilst ensuring we get the most items from your challenge.

As our metre challenges are tailor made, we can create multiple sizes. Perfect for siblings or wanting some items in the next couple of sizes. The age limit we have is up to age 4-5years and 2 siblings sizes maximum.

Value for Money

Not only are our challenges eco friendly and bespoke to you, but they’re also incredible value for money. Our metre challenges cost only £75, however they all have a minimum value of at least £100 (highest has been over £150!), we do not include wipes or mini extras in this value only the handmade clothing items.

How it Works

For each metre challenge we use one metre of your chosen fabric and approximately half a metre of co-ordinate solid colour fabric. The enables us to create more items for your challenge by using co- ordinating fabric for waistbands/cuffs/linings.
